While we are not involved with the heavy-duty construction elements of a job like this, we were invited to participate in outfitting the gymnasium space with some brand new and state-of-the-art equipment. After selecting a fairly comprehensive sports equipment package, our team was on-site and planning for this new gymnasium as part of the expansion of the Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario (CEPEO) here in the Ottawa area. For this newly-built elementary school gymnasium, we were tapped to supply and install a full complement of premium [basketball equipment](https://www.sportsystemscanada.com/basketball/). This included two main court electrically operated front-folding ceiling-mounted backstops with glass backboards, along with four wall-mounted [cross-court backstops](https://blog.sportsystemscanada.com/blog/four-cross-court-basketball-systems-for-george-brown-college) featuring fan-shaped backboards and manual height adjusters. We also installed a centre-drive electrically operated gym divider curtain, which allows the gymnasium to be quickly and efficiently [divided for simultaneous classes or activities](https://blog.sportsystemscanada.com/blog/how-to-build-the-right-gym-divider-curtain).   ![gym-divider-new-kanata-school](https://blog.sportsystemscanada.com/hs-fs/hubfs/gym-divider-new-kanata-school.jpg?width=1131&height=848&name=gym-divider-new-kanata-school.jpg)   The entire installation was completed efficiently in just over two days, minimizing disruption to the final stages of the school’s construction schedule. We do our very best to remain an industry leader when it comes to new school and recreational facility projects across Ontario and Canada. By working closely with architects, specification writers, and general contractors from the earliest stages of a project, we help ensure the right equipment is selected, resulting in smoother bidding processes and better long-term outcomes for schools and communities alike.   ![basketball-systems-kanata-school](https://blog.sportsystemscanada.com/hs-fs/hubfs/basketball-systems-kanata-school.jpg?width=1500&height=554&name=basketball-systems-kanata-school.jpg)   This Kanata project is a perfect example of the complete elementary school sports package we recommend. It delivers professional-grade performance in a safe, durable, and easy-to-use format suitable for younger students. The same package can easily be upgraded with additional features for high schools and universities as well. Whether you’re an architect, spec writer, facility planner, or part of a construction team building the next generation of schools, community centers or other athletic facilities, we’re proud to be your trusted partner.
