Known for both its annual potato harvest and strong military presence thanks to nearby CFB Borden, the community approached us looking for solutions to some older bleachers at one of their parks. Located at a busy local baseball diamond, the outdated bleachers were deemed unsafe as they no longer met the stringent specifications set out by today’s code requirements for bleacher seating. The township had plans of dismantling and disposing of the bleachers themselves and came to us for the plan with what to replace them with. Working closely with key stakeholders on the project, it was apparent that our 5-row aluminum bleachers were the right fit for the ball diamond. Looking to ensure complete compliance and safety, the township loved the idea of equipping the bleachers with both rear and side guardrails for added protection. When the initial design was completed, the final order of three 5-row bleachers was placed and quickly put into manufacturing at our plant. Upon completion, the bleachers were shipped directly to the site for installation. Because the site was without a concrete pad on which to place the new seating structures, we ensured that each of the bleachers was equipped with our HDPE sleepers, giving them a firm foundation to stand on. The seating was installed without a hitch and the township is now equipped with new code-compliant bleachers for all to enjoy safely for years to come.
