Originating in the American Pacific Northwest, pickleball has since been taking North America and the world by storm.  With leagues, organizations and groups popping up from coast to coast, pickleball is on its way to becoming a favourite pastime for many, regardless of age.

Comprising of a mixture of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, pickleball is played using specialized wooden or composite paddles to strike a perforated ball over a custom-sized net.  Now governed by the International Federation of Pickleball, and locally by the USA Pickleball Association, the sport traces its roots back to the 1960’s when parents invented a new racquet game to keep their children actively occupied.

Similar in size to a badminton court, a pickleball court measures 20x44 feet for both doubles or singles play.  The netting is strung at 36 inches on each end, dipping to 34 inches in the centre.  If your organization or facility is looking to get into this high-demand activity, here’s what you will need to get up and running.

Pickleball Net

These are not repurposed tennis nets, they are the real deal.  We proudly supply officially-sized nets measuring 36 inches in height and 22 inches in length, meeting the USA Pickleball Association’s requirements.

The netting itself is 1-3/4" square mesh braided 3.0mm polyethylene, manufactured for durability and weather resistance.  The vinyl-coated polyester headbands and bottom tape are designed to resist mildew and rotting and will never shrink.

Pickleball Posts

When choosing posts, you have the choice of either a permanent or portable installation.  For permanent installation, all posts measure 54 inches in length, with 36 of those inches exposed above ground level.  The posts are available in either a round or square shape, are polyester powder coated to protect against the elements and feature cast aluminum cap and gear housings.

They are also equipped with an internal self-locking gear mechanism with a chrome-plated gears, gear plate and handle.

Complete Systems

These are of the portable nature and are easily set up and taken down at a moment’s notice.  These systems measure 33 inches high and 18 feet long, are also powder coated and equipped with self-locking gear mechanisms.

With one of our complete systems, there is no need to purchase a net separately as this all-in-one package contains everything you need to get started in pickleball.
