It’s been a little over a year now since we first installed some beautiful bleacher seating at Chatham-Kent’s Fergie Jenkins field. Last spring we were tasked with the challenge of installing a brand new grandstand into the existing infrastructure at the legendary park, a challenge we believe we passed with flying colors. 

Building on our previous success at this beloved ballpark, the City of Chatham-Kent once again came to us with another project for the ball park. 

With the local ball team’s success and the park’s growing popularity, the City of Chatham-Kent needed to add approximately 500 additional spectator seats. Accessibility remained a top priority, as the city aimed to create an inclusive environment for all fans. The designated space along the first baseline presented a unique challenge due to an existing light standard that had to remain in place. Our team designed a layout to seamlessly accommodate this constraint while maximizing seating capacity.

To meet the city’s needs, our team manufactured and installed two of our new model 10-row, 46-foot-long bleachers, complete with aisles, handrails, and barrier-free seating areas. Each bleacher provides seating for 258 spectators plus four barrier-free spaces, resulting in a total of 516 seats and eight accessible spaces across the two units. This solution not only met but exceeded the city’s requirements, delivering both capacity and inclusivity.

As with many of our projects, this one couldn’t have been completed without our partners at Moran Construction, who expertly erected these bleachers. Their team ensured the bleachers were assembled flawlessly and sparkling clean, ready for fans to cheer on their team. From start to finish, this collaboration showcased our shared commitment to quality and community.

With these new bleachers in place, Fergie Jenkins Field is better equipped than ever to welcome fans of all abilities.
