Nestled in the heart of Woodbridge, [Emily Carr Secondary School](https://emilycarr-ss.yrdsb.ca/) is a vibrant public high school serving the Vaughan community as part of the York Region District School Board — one of Canada’s largest and fastest-growing school boards. Named after the iconic Canadian painter and member of the Group of Seven, the school opened its doors in 2004 and has quickly become a cornerstone of arts-focused education and athletic excellence in a city that proudly holds the title of Canada’s “City Above Toronto.” Vaughan itself, with its blend of rich Italian heritage, booming suburban development, and sprawling green spaces, is one of the fastest-growing municipalities in the country — making inclusive, state-of-the-art sports facilities like this one an essential part of community life. This past summer, we teamed up with our partners at World Wide Turf to bring Emily Carr’s brand-new track and field facility to life. Our contribution was set to include two of our most popular [5-row fully accessible aluminum bleachers](https://www.sportsystemscanada.com/bleachers/outdoor-bleachers/), featuring the latest upgraded vertical picket guardrails on rear and side panels for added safety and a sleek, modern appearance. Together, the pair of bleachers provides comfortable seating for approximately 140 spectators, including four dedicated barrier-free wheelchair spaces that meet and exceed current AODA requirements.   ![drawing-emily-carr-bleacher-design](https://blog.sportsystemscanada.com/hs-fs/hubfs/drawing-emily-carr-bleacher-design.jpg?width=1000&height=645&name=drawing-emily-carr-bleacher-design.jpg)   As more Ontario school boards and municipalities prioritize universal accessibility in new sports complexes, our aim is to continue to lead the way with durable, code-compliant bleacher solutions that look great and stand the test of time. Whether you’re planning a new track and field facility, football stadium, soccer complex, or community park, we’ve got the experience and product lineup to deliver durable, code-compliant, and great-looking bleachers that will serve your community for decades.   [![Emily-Carr-bleachers-vertical-pickets](https://blog.sportsystemscanada.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Emily-Carr-bleachers-vertical-pickets.jpg?width=600&height=800&name=Emily-Carr-bleachers-vertical-pickets.jpg)](https://blog.sportsystemscanada.com/hubfs/Emily-Carr-bleachers-vertical-pickets-full.jpg) Ready to talk bleachers?
