Get Set Up for Outdoor Volleyball This Summer

Outdoor and/or beach volleyball has grown in popularity with recreational and professional volleyball players since it was introduced as an Olympic sport in the 1996 Games in Atlanta, Georgia.

Much the same as its indoor counterpart, beach volleyball shares the fundamental goal of sending the volleyball over a net in hopes of grounding the ball on the opposing team’s side of the court, with a few differences in game play.  The main difference is this version of the game is most widely played on a sand court rather than a rigid surface such as a gymnasium floor.

With this change of venue comes a change in equipment.  As one can imagine, a playing surface in the outdoors comes with a number of considerations and the equipment used to play the game requires it to be able to withstand the elements.

Sunshine, moist temperatures and high winds can all affect the placement, deterioration and durability of the equipment that is used to play outdoor volleyball.  To answer the call, we carry a line of the industry’s best beach volleyball equipment made to withstand whatever players or Mother Nature can throw at it.

Our Standard 571-109 Volleyball System

Our standard model covers all the bases and can be used for any volleyball application as well as for badminton use.  Manufactured using tough and durable 2-3/8” O.D. hot dipped, galvanized steel tubing, this system is perfect for outdoor use on either a sand or grass surface, depending on the availability in any given facility or location.

Ground Sleeves

This optional equipment is a must for those wishing for a semi-permanent solution.  These ground sleeves act very much the same as our brass indoor sleeves used for indoor volleyball systems in that they are directly mounted in the ground using a concrete footing.

These handy accessories allow for easy installation and removal for times when the volleyball system will not be in use, such as during the off-season or winter months.

Safety Padding

Lunging and diving to make a dramatic volley is part of the game, but high-speed manoeuvres such as these become obvious safety hazards.  Colliding with the steel-tube framing of the nets is not something any player wants to experience and precisely the reason we proudly manufacture and supply volleyball pole padding.  Using 2” of medium density foam, these Velcro®-equipped pads are quickly and easily installed giving organizations and participants an added level of safety while partaking in a beach volleyball event.

In addition to these accessories for outdoor volleyball use, we also supply many of our existing clientele with replacement parts such as netting, border kits and training accessories.  Reach out to a member of our sales team today and find out what sets us apart from the rest and how we can help you build a better game.
