In most of the cases, the goal is almost always the same as operators are looking for dynamic ways to make a single gym as multipurpose as possible, both during school hours and after. As many of us know, the demand for gymnasium time is on the rise. Sports like volleyball, basketball and pickleball are all booming while leagues and associations are constantly scrambling for additional practice and gameplay space. Our well-designed and highly customized gym divider curtains do a great job of solving that problem by allowing for two activities to be taking place at the same time. As one side of the gym is able to host a basketball game or practice, just on the other side of the divider, is the ability to run a simultaneous volleyball game, tournament or practice. This was what was the driving factor behind one of our most recent projects that took place in Russel, Ontario. After we were approached by key stakeholders from St. Mother Teresa school and the board, we quickly learned about what they were after, and it didn’t take us long to recommend our ever-popular [center-drive motorized curtains.](https://www.sportsystemscanada.com/gym-divider-curtains/) These efficient curtains operate quickly and quietly, require very little maintenance and can, in most cases, fit quite nicely inside school budgets. Operating via a simple key switch, these systems give teachers and staff reliable control without complicated procedures or high ongoing costs. One extra detail that just so happened to be present on this project was a slightly sloped overhead ceiling. Where some suppliers might otherwise find these unique shapes a challenge, our design and installation team accounted for the slope from the beginning, allowing for the curtain to track properly and hang cleanly. The finished system now gives the school the flexibility to run concurrent programs in the same space, opening more opportunities for local leagues and athletes to play the sports they love. The result is a practical upgrade that turns one gym into two usable courts whenever needed. If your school or facility is in search of a similar upgrade or replacement, do not hesitate to [reach out to a member of our team today.](https://www.sportsystemscanada.com/request-a-quote/)   Topics: [Gym Divider Curtains](https://blog.sportsystemscanada.com/blog/topic/gym-divider-curtains) [![Share on Facebook](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/facebook-24x24.png)](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.sportsystemscanada.com%2Fblog%2Fmaximizing-gym-space-at-st.-mother-teresa-school-with-a-motorized-divider-curtain%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [![Share on LinkedIn](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/linkedin-24x24.png)](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.sportsystemscanada.com%2Fblog%2Fmaximizing-gym-space-at-st.-mother-teresa-school-with-a-motorized-divider-curtain%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dlinkedin) [![Share on Twitter](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/twitter-24x24.png)](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?original_referer=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.sportsystemscanada.com%2Fblog%2Fmaximizing-gym-space-at-st.-mother-teresa-school-with-a-motorized-divider-curtain%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.sportsystemscanada.com%2Fblog%2Fmaximizing-gym-space-at-st.-mother-teresa-school-with-a-motorized-divider-curtain%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&source=tweetbutton&text=Maximizing%20Gym%20Space%20at%20St.%20Mother%20Teresa%20School%20with%20a%20Motorized%20Divider%20Curtain) [![Share on Email](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/email-24x24.png)](mailto:?subject=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fblog.sportsystemscanada.com%2Fblog%2Fmaximizing-gym-space-at-st.-mother-teresa-school-with-a-motorized-divider-curtain%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail%20&body=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fblog.sportsystemscanada.com%2Fblog%2Fmaximizing-gym-space-at-st.-mother-teresa-school-with-a-motorized-divider-curtain%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail) ### Subscribe to Email Updates ### Search for Specific Products or Projects This is a search field with an auto-suggest feature attached. - There are no suggestions because the search field is empty.
