As with every new project we complete, we are proud to announce the successful finalization of a transformative project for St. Kateri Catholic School in London, Ontario. In partnership with our esteemed colleagues at Worldwide Turf, we designed and installed two state-of-the-art, barrier-free bleachers to complement the school’s new artificial turf sports field and running track, as it prepares to host major sports and track & field events for the region during the upcoming school year and beyond.

Located in the Masonville area, St. Kateri Catholic Elementary School is named after Kateri Tekakwitha, a Native North American who converted to Christianity and devoted her life to faith and sacrifice. Established to serve the growing community in North London, the school reflects a commitment to Catholic education and community engagement.

With a current enrollment of approximately 400 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8, St. Kateri emphasizes excellence in both academics and extracurriculars, offering a variety of athletic programs. Students participate in sports such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, and track & field, supported by a culture that values physical activity, teamwork, and strong citizenship. 

The addition of a new artificial turf sports field and running track will undoubtedly prove to elevate these opportunities, positioning the school as a regional hub for athletic events.

Together with our friends at Worldwide Turf, our mandate was to provide fully accessible, high-quality bleacher seating to support the school’s new artificial turf sports field and running track, enabling inclusive spectating for major sports and track & field events.

After several meetings with key stakeholders, we delivered a tailored solution to meet the needs of the school, which was promptly approved by the board. Following the manufacturing process, our team delivered two banks of our innovative BL-8TB-90DRGR-8-24-ADA model bleachers, designed for complete accessibility by all. Each bleacher seats 394 spectators, plus 6 barrier-free spaces, for a total of 788 seats and 12 accessible spaces across both units.

These barrier-free, fully accessible bleachers ensure compliance with provincial accessibility standards, providing safe and inclusive viewing for all attendees, including those with mobility needs. With this installation, St. Kateri Catholic School is now equipped to host major sports events and track & field competitions, serving not only its students but also the broader London region
