Heading back to the region of the 1,000 Islands, about 90km (56mi) from our company headquarters, is a small riverfront city our crews always look forward to working in. Close enough for a day trip, but seemingly far enough away from home to enjoy the charm of it all once you arrive.
Working again with the City of Brockville, our team was brought in to assess the seating situation in one of the local parks. Brackenreid Baseball Park is often denoted as one of the best little league fields in southern Ontario, and with good reason.
With the rise in popularity of baseball, the municipality believed it was high time that the existing bleacher seating at the ball diamond be upgraded. While the growth in the area certainly contributed to the kickoff of the project, spectator safety is always priority number one and was one of the major driving factors for this project.
Assessing the needs of the municipality, our team got to work designing four banks of our five-row aluminum bleachers to be set up behind the batting cages at the diamond. Once all of the approvals were in place, we manufactured the seating at our facility and hit the road to promptly begin installation.
Without missing a beat, the City of Brockville now has additional seating for its greenspace where fans can now comfortably and safely sit and cheer on their teams.
