In one of our more recent projects, we found ourselves on the beautiful shores of Lake Huron in Bruce County, Ontario. Known for its picturesque sunsets, rich Scottish heritage, and welcoming atmosphere, the municipality of Kincardine offers a blend of natural beauty and small-town charm.
In an effort to spruce up a few of the area’s outdoor parks, the municipality came to us in search of some new bleacher seating. Known in many circles as Canada’s Bleacher Source, it didn’t take long for us to connect and get the planning process started. In looking for something a little more custom, key stakeholders from the community came to us with the idea of building out 5-row bleachers that would be complete with backrests and a rear guardrail for added safety.
As with every single custom request we field, our answer is always something along the lines of “yes, we can build those!”
Working closely with key stakeholders, together we ensured that all of the details were ironed out before turning our design team loose on the concept. Once we had the green light, we let our engineering department loose and they did not disappoint.
With new drawings in-hand, we went back to the municipality for the final approval prior to going to manufacturing. Once we had the go-ahead, our team got to work on putting these new custom bleachers together. With each sized to fit about 40 spectators, they ended up ordering eight new bleachers that were destined to be installed at a variety of sports fields around the region.
Following the manufacturing process, the new bleachers were shipped directly to the municipal yard for off-loading and met by our installation team who got busy safely setting them up. Each of the new bleachers was installed atop our HDPE sleepers for a sturdy, long-lasting installation.
With each of the new bleachers now installed across the community, the region now has 240 new seats anxiously awaiting spectators for a summer filled with outdoor sports and recreation.
