We're thrilled to celebrate yet another standout collaboration with our long-time dealer and partner, Sparks @ Play, based in Owings Mills, Maryland. In 2024, we joined forces to deliver a custom outdoor bleacher installation at Tucker Field—a vibrant community hub in Bel Air, Maryland. Together, we planned, designed and installed a pair of new custom bleachers for this budding community and the end result serves as a testament to the strength of our cross-border relationships.
Proudly known as "Terps Country" for its deep ties to the Bel Air Terps Football & Cheerleading program, Tucker Field serves local schools and neighborhoods with plenty of recreational sports action, from peewee gridiron games to cheer routines, all under the Bel Air Recreation Committee banner. With that in mind, this project wasn't just about building seats; it was about creating inclusive, durable spaces that bring people together, even in the face of winter installation challenges.
Tucker Field presented unique site constraints that called for innovative design solutions. Our expert team crafted three custom 7-row aluminum bleachers, all of which are fully ADA-compliant to ensure accessibility for all spectators. With the first bleacher measuring 40 feet in length, the second at 58 feet, and the third at 76 feet, these structures provide 705 total seats, including 16 dedicated ADA seating notch-outs for enhanced accessibility. Engineered for outdoor durability, the bleachers feature our signature quality including weather-resistant materials, easy maintenance, and spectator comfort in mind.
The installation kicked off during the heart of winter, testing the team's resolve with a few unexpected cold snaps. But true to form, Sparks @ Play's installation crew rose to the occasion. They handled offloading and assembly with precision, navigating the elements to keep everything on schedule.
The end result? A transformed field that's already seeing heavy use for community games and school events. We're grateful for the feedback from our partners at Sparks @ Play, who shared that their client was "extremely pleased" with the final setup.
