One of our latest projects brought us back to the seaport city of Saint John on the Bay of Fundy. Working with our esteemed partners at Interior Visions, our team was commissioned to provide a solution for another outdated bleacher issue at a local high school.
As one of the largest secondary schools in the area, Simonds High School boasts an impressive facility and athletic program. With teams in sports including rugby, football, baseball, soccer, baseball and many others, the school’s pledge to athletics as a part of the educational experience is apparent in everything they do.
In addition to an impressive collection of facilities including a double gymnasium, recording studio and greenhouse, it also houses its very own aquatic facility and pool for students to compete in aquatic sports and events.
Having previously worked in the school’s gymnasium supplying new telescopic bleachers, our team and our partners at Interior Visions were already familiar with the facility and were called to inspect another set of problematic bleachers in the school’s pool area.
The existing bleachers were installed a number of years ago and were unfortunately constructed using wood; a poor choice in a high-humidity environment. As one of the only providers of specialized high-humidity bleachers, this was an easy problem for our team to solve.
We immediately suggested our 2400 Series Pool Bleachers for the job. Taking the appropriate measurements, our team got to work designing a custom solution for the space - one that could perform in the often-harsh environments found in pools and natatoriums.
Following the approval process, the bleachers were put into production and shipped to New Brunswick and were met by the team at Interior Visions. From there, their team spearheaded the installation process.
Interior Visions install staff were pleased to report that the school is very pleased with their new bleachers.
Located on the pool deck, the new seating offers superb spectator viewing and additional coaching space for the staff and athletes at Simonds High School.
