New Retractable Bleachers for the Boise Corps Salvation Army

Heading west for one of our latest projects dropped us right in the middle of the Treasure Valley. This distinct area of the western United States is made up primarily of lowland areas in southwestern Idaho. Stretching from eastern Oregon, the valley runs into the city of Boise, the most populated area in the state of Idaho.

We were invited by our partners at Hardware Sales & Service Inc., of Boise (HHS Boise) to work on a project they had been involved with at the local Salvation Army location. As an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church, the Salvation Army has been dedicated to its sole purpose of meeting human need without discrimination since its inception in 1865.

The Boise Corps Salvation Army of the Treasure Valley has been putting this credo into action for over 125 years and last year alone, assisted 20,000 families through services in the Boise community.

Working closely with Jordan-Wilcomb Construction, we were contacted directly by the general contractor on the project to provide design and pricing for two new banks of retractable bleachers to be placed in the facility’s gymnasium. In addition to supplying the retractable seating, we were tasked with the installation as well. This is where the expertise of our partners at HSS Boise was put to work. Following client approval of the seating, it was manufactured to spec and immediately shipped down to our partners at HSS Boise. Working closely with not only the general contractor on site, but also with the Salvation Army, the team at HSS Boise was strategic in isolating only the portion of the gym that was required to be off limits during the installation process.

With the amount of programming the facility offers the community, this would allow them to continue to access to the gymnasium during the installation.

Following strict protocols to protect the gymnasium flooring and walls, the team on-site performed the installation without a single problem. Following the installation, the team at HSS Boise provided the operations team at the Salvation Army with one-on-one training and extended the offer for any follow-up questions.

We are proud of yet another successful project with our partners down in the United States and one that will go on to serve that local community for years to come.
