Located in Belleville, Ontario, our most recent project landed us at Bayside Secondary School. As a member of the Hastings & Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB), Bayside prides itself on academic, artistic and athletic programming paired with a heavy involvement in their local community.

Bayside Secondary School resides on a 200-acre campus, the largest in North America, which includes a quarry, wooded trails, extensive athletic playing fields, as well as a picturesque shoreline on the Bay of Quinte. The school is also home to HPEDSB’s French Immersion program and also offers a number of other specialty programs including International Studies, Communications Technology and EcoBound.

The school board reached out to us when looking to replace their out-of-date retractable bleacher seating system. The existing retractable bleachers were constructed of wood and were no longer large enough to house the growing student body and fan-base of their athletics programs. Typically with most replacement projects, our team will remove and dispose of existing bleacher structures before the installation of the new systems. In this project, however, the school board removed and disposed of the old bleachers themselves.

The school board ordered a brand-new 2400 series Kodiak retractable bleachers and had our experienced installation team install them on-site. These bleachers featured HDPE contoured seat modules for the ultimate in spectator comfort, in addition to a sleek and modern look. These retractable bleachers are equipped with fully electrical operation by use of a convenient hand-held pendant controller for easy operation.

These bleachers now are able to host up to 400 spectators for upcoming community and athletic events held in the school’s gymnasium. The school offers 22 athletic programs including basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, golf, tennis, rugby and hockey among many other sports for their growing student body.
