While we unfortunately cannot give to every organization, we do proudly support a number of charitable organizations each and every year. As part of this mission, we are particularly proud of events that are held right here in our community, including one with which we have worked for over 35 years.
The Almonte Hospital Charity Golf Tournament, as its name suggests, supports the Almonte General Hospital-Fairview Manor Foundation. Governed by a group of community leaders and hospital management members, the foundation sets out to provide funds to support the goals and objectives of both the hospital and the manor.
In addition to the Golf Classic, the foundation is busy throughout the year hosting numerous fundraising events in the community including river runs and walks, concerts, dances and other fun-filled events.
This year marks the 14th anniversary of the charitable golf tournament, which has raised over $800,000 for the community-focused hospital and Fairview Manor since its inception. This year’s tournament is coming up on June 6th, 2016 at the Canadian Golf and Country Club located nearby in Ashton, Ontario.
Your donation gets you a day on the course including the following:
- BBQ Lunch
- 11:30 Shotgun Start
- Shared cart
- 18 holes of golf
- On-course contests
- Steak Dinner
- Prizes
- Live and Silent Auction - 50/50 draw
- Cash Bar
We wish organizers the very best on the day of the tournament and look forward to not only being a part of the Golf Classic’s success, but also apart of the success of the Almonte Hospital Foundation for many years to come.
