Eden High School in St. Catharines, Ontario, has long been a hub for student athletics in the Niagara region. With the recent addition of a state-of-the-art synthetic turf field and track as part of the District School Board of Niagara’s multi-school initiative, the need for high-quality spectator seating became essential.
We were once again proud to partner on another Ontario project, designing and installing custom bleachers, made right here in Canada, that deliver safety, accessibility, durability, and prime viewing for fans.
When schools undertake major athletic field upgrades, consultants and architects frequently turn to our team for reliable, fully code-compliant outdoor bleachers that meet or exceed Canadian (or US) standards for public assembly seating.
For this project at Eden High School, we collaborated closely with our long-time partner Ritchfield Construction, who are specialists in sports fields, running tracks, and recreational facility builds. Together, we ensured seamless integration of the new bleachers with the upgraded turf field and surrounding infrastructure.
We designed and supplied a pair of brand-new 6-row bleachers, each measuring 75 feet in length. These provide substantial capacity while maintaining a sleek, low-profile footprint suitable for a high school athletic complex. Each bleacher bank can accommodate 196 standard seats along with 5 additional barrier-free accessible seats.
The total setup offers comfortable seating for approximately 402 spectators (excluding the companion positions), perfect for soccer matches, football games, track events, and school spirit gatherings.
A standout feature of this installation is what we refer to as our Companion Benches. These are thoughtfully designed to allow wheelchair users, families, or companions to sit together close to the midfield line, ensuring everyone can enjoy the action without compromise. This promotes true inclusivity, enabling friends, family members, and support persons to share the excitement of the game side-by-side as highlighted below.
Barrier-free seating is now a standard requirement for many school projects across both Canada and the United States. Here at Sport Systems, we offer a wide range of accessible bleacher models and configurations to satisfy varying project needs, including integrated ramps, level landings, and companion seating areas that comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Building Code, along with any others.
Our bleachers are proudly manufactured in Canada, using high-quality materials built to withstand harsh Canadian winters and heavy use.Spectators can now enjoy unobstructed views of thrilling soccer and football games from durable, weather-resistant seating, always built and installed for optimal sightlines.
