Our connection to basketball runs deep here at Sport Systems. In addition to cutting our teeth in the industry by designing and selling basketball hoops back in the late 1970s, our headquarters is located in the hometown of Dr. James Naismith, the inventor of the game we all love so much.

While much has changed over the past 40-or-so years since we began this journey in the athletic equipment industry, much still remains the same. We continue to specialize in basketball equipment including, hoops, backboards, complete indoor and outdoor systems and so much more.

Working so closely with one sport for an extended period of time has afforded us the ability to experiment and test a large quantity of products and solutions. This testing has led the way for our internal development of our own line of basketball products, specifically in the outdoor space.

One product that we are particularly proud of is our outdoor gooseneck pole basketball systems. We sell these poles that feature a 48” gooseneck on their own or as part of our best-selling BBIG series of outdoor systems.

Coming with everything you need to outfit your schoolyard, municipal park, community centre or any other outdoor basketball venue, these complete systems are tough to beat. In addition to the galvanized gooseneck steel pole, these systems come with an aluminum backboard and a choice of goal.

Paired with our BUGG institutional galvanized rim, this complete system is virtually indestructible and is perfectly suited for outdoor environments that might not be under constant surveillance or supervision.

Additionally, we have found that many competing units will employ a ‘slip on’ style flange that inevitably requires constant retightening caused by the constant vibrations these systems are subject to. Every gooseneck system that leaves our plant comes equipped with a direct weld flange that results in a maintenance-free system that adds another level of durability.
