While we work with a lot of existing parks, schools and communities, we always love being a part of a brand new development as well. Being brought in early on a new project always marks an exciting opportunity for our organization and for the project we are working on.
After the announcement of a new ball diamond in Truro, Nova Scotia, our team was tapped to help design the new bleacher seating that will soon be placed in the new development. The complete development comprises two locations.
The first is an existing athletic grounds that will see the current space optimized with a new all-weather field and synthetic 8-lane track with regulation throwing areas. The second location, and the one we are working on as part of this project, is the Argus Drive baseball fields. Here, a new state-of-the-art baseball diamond designed for championship-quality baseball is in the process of being constructed.
“We’re so happy to see this project begin construction. It took many years of hard work by our community and all levels of government to make this project a reality,” Mayor Bill Mills, Town of Truro said, “Once complete, Truro will have two premier facilities to build on sport, recreation, health and wellness.”
Working closely with our partners at Turf Masters in Nova Scotia, we worked together to design four sets of 5-row bleachers to accommodate a prospective 280 spectators at the new baseball facility.
This is just one of the portions of the project we will be taking care of. As development continues, we’ll be working on another larger bleacher to be placed at the same site. We’ll cover that installation and story once it is complete as well. We’re all looking forward to this unique new project coming to fruition in Nova Scotia through the fall of 2024.
