Custom Padding and Mesh Divider Curtain for the Boys and Girls Club

Two years ago, we were commissioned to renovate and install new athletic equipment at a newly acquired facility by the Boys and Girls Club of Kingston.  At that time, our team provided that facility with a new walk-draw gym divider curtain as well as customized netting for the mezzanine section of the gymnasium.

Fast forward to 2016 and once again we are hard at work with our long-time partners at the Boys and Girls Club of Kingston and Area, this time aiding them in adding vital equipment to a recently renovated gymnasium in the Robert Meek Youth Centre.

Located in downtown Kingston, Ontario, the Boys and Girls Club runs their After School Connections program at the Robert Meek Youth Centre, servicing children ranging in age from 4-12 years.

Exposed brick walls adorned the gymnasium, leaving the facility with a safety risk they were not comfortable with.  They turned to us to design, manufacture and install a padding solution that would fit seamlessly into the existing gymnasium, namely underneath the basketball systems.  Our team designed the wall padding to cover the walls safely and included all custom cut-outs around electrical outlets and light switches.

In addition, the club was looking for an all-mesh divider curtain that would allow spectators to safely view activities such as the newly introduced archery tag program at the location.  The curtain was installed over the opening of the stage area, allowing the gymnasium to be a comprehensive play area while allowing spectators to watch in awe from the stage above.
