Looking directly into the backyard of Buffalo, New York, Fort Erie is one of the Niagara area’s fastest growing communities located along the banks of the Niagara River.

With a backstory that dates back to the War of 1812, Old Fort Erie attracts visitors from across the country looking for a historic re-enactment and a trip back to a pivotal time in Canadian history.

We had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful town after being enlisted by the [District School Board of Niagara](https://www.dsbn.org) to design, supply and install a completely new seating structure for a local high school.

Working closely with the school board, we received details about the scope of the project, which was to be installed at [Greater Fort Erie Secondary School](https://greaterforterie.dsbn.org/).

As the school’s athletic programming continues to grow, a [bleacher seating structure](https://www.sportsystemscanada.com/bleachers/outdoor-bleachers/) was requested to be placed perfectly along the school’s track and sports field. In keeping with [accessibility](https://www.sportsystemscanada.com/bleachers/accessible-bleachers/) compliance and an inclusive spectator environment, the school also was interested in making the bleachers completely accessible.

What was eventually settled on was a new eight-tier, 100-foot-long non-elevated angle-frame bleacher that would accommodate upwards of 450 spectators for upcoming sporting events at the school. Our design team quickly got to work and included a completely customer grade-level, three-row truncated accessible wheelchair seating notch outs, allowing those watching events from wheelchairs some of the best vantage points possible.
