Heading into the largest city in the Canada, our team was thrilled to once again, be involved with the experienced team at George Brown College.

Boasting more Continuing Education courses than many other educational institutions, George Brown College covers a variety of subjects for their prospective students.  Programming includes sought-after subjects such as arts and design, business and legal studies, health sciences, technology and trades among many others.

With three campuses covering much of the Greater Toronto Area, George Brown has proven to be an institution those looking to sharpen their skills can trust.

When it came to the redevelopment of the kitchen showcase auditorium for the school’s culinary arts program at their St. James Campus in the heart of the city, the school required the right team. Looking to completely revamp the space and program, key stakeholders from the school expressed their penchant for creating a true showcase facility for the school’s students.

As the project was tendered for public bid, our partners at Compass Construction Resources of Toronto was successful in acquiring the project.  Our team was immediately contacted by Compass and together we set out on the journey of designing the perfect space as well as the 108 fixed seats that would eventually fill it.

What was ultimately selected was our award-winning Helix chair, which in addition to being visually pleasing, would afford one of the most comfortable seating options to future students.  The seats were completely customized with school colour coordination and folding tablet arms, perfectly finding the balance between a comfortable theatre-style chair suited for educational purposes.
