New Gym Divider Curtain and Basketball Systems for the Khon Go Cho Complex

After ten long years without a community sports complex, a Northwest Territories community finally has a new facility to call their own.  With the construction of the building completed in the fall of 2016, the new 50,000 square foot facility took nearly two years to build and now houses the community’s very own ice rink, gymnasium, youth centre, exercise room and office space.

Working with a nearly $15 million budget, the small Tlicho community of Behchoko is home to roughly 2,000 residents who until recently, shared the facilities of two local schools for athletic use.

As part of the opening of the complex, the community reached out to us to help them finish the gymnasium with new athletic equipment.  Despite their location in northern Canada, we happily sent one of our factory-trained installers to the facility for a pre-site visit to better assess their needs or any challenges the project might hold and to acquire the proper measurements.

In order to separate the large gymnasium space and allow for a more versatile use of the premises, the community was interested in one of our gym divider curtains.  One of ourfold-up gym divider curtains was selected for the facility, offering them a hassle-free, low-maintenance option for separating their gymnasium.

Additionally, a pair of our ceiling-suspended basketball systems were also part of the order for the Khon Go Cho Complex.

After completing all the necessary technical drawings and approval processes, our team boarded their flights and headed back up into the great Canadian north.  Once on site, our team worked closely with officials from the organization to ensure a smooth delivery and installation process.
