Upgrade to One of Our Glass Basketball Backboards

They may not be the backboards many of us grew up on, but there is no denying the quality, durability and the aesthetics of a glass backboard.  A standard in the professional basketball world, glass backboards are used by the National Basketball Association, the International Basketball Federation and NCAA collegiate athletics.

Over the years, the sight of these transparent backstops has become more common as recreation centres, leagues and high schools across Canada and the United States have upgraded their facilities with the very same glass backboards the professionals use.

If your facility is in need of an upgrade just beyond the baseline, here are three stellar choices that are competitively priced to stay within your budget.

Competition Glass Backboards

ARG Conversion Glass Backboard

This product is best suited for existing facilities that are looking to upgrade from steel backboards to glass backboards.  This system comes complete with a built-in adapter that allows the backboard to easily be changed using standard fan mounting dimensions.

LXP4200 Regulation Glass Backboard

This model is identical to the ARG model (above) except that it does not include the handy adapter and brackets.

Both of these models are constructed using ½” tempered glass and feature a steel frame.  It is this frame that gives these backboards an unbeatable level of strength.  Most aluminum-frame backboards are able to stand up to about 700 pounds of pressure, but a steel frame can handle loads of up to 1,100 pounds of direct force.

Both models are available in standard 42” x 72” dimensions, feature 5” x 4” hole spacing and come equipped with a limited lifetime warranty.

Specialty Glass Backboards

3050RG Auxiliary Glass Backboard

Specialty glass backboards are customized to suit locations and facilities that cannot always accommodate a 72” backboard.  The 3050RG features all the benefits of a glass backboard, but at a fraction of the size.  Measuring at 42” x 54”, these backboards are the perfect addition to side courts and tight spaces.
