Wall Padding for the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa’s Indoor Soccer Field

Established in 1923, the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa serves nearly 5,000 children between the ages of six and 18 in the greater Ottawa area. With an established team right here in our hometown, Ottawa’s Boys and Girls Club continues to give local children and youth a place where they can develop confidence and life skills while making friendships that last a lifetime.

The club operates seven locations across the Nation’s Capital with two locations in the west end, three in the east end, and two in the south region of the city.

In addition to the main clubhouses and satellite locations scattered across the city, the club also operates Camp Smitty in the town of Eganville in the picturesque Ottawa Valley.

Having worked with many Boys and Girls Clubs across both Canada and the United States in the past, our experience is always nothing short of amazing. Working alongside an exemplary organization and the good people who manage them is truly one of the perks of our business.

In late 2017, our team was contacted by the Ottawa organization as they began preparations for their indoor soccer field at one of their clubhouses. With high-speed sports such as soccer, wall padding is an absolute must and quickly became top priority for the club.

Complete with indoor seating for spectators, the indoor soccer field is a popular location for the club’s youth, especially during the cold winter months. As the club continues to develop the next generation into confident and productive adults, sports and athletics is a large part of that mandate.

In order to create a padding solution customized for the location, our team was on-site to take accurate measurements before the production process began. Looking for an all-encompassing padding solution, our team recommended, with help from key stakeholders from the organization, wall padding that would measure eight feet in height and that would cover the four walls inside the facility.

After approvals were received from the club, our team was once again on-site to safely and securely install the padding. What stands today is a comprehensive padding system guaranteed to keep participants safe for years to come.
