A New Gym Floor Cover for Pitt Community College

One of our most recent projects brought us to beautiful Greensboro, North Carolina, the home of Pitt Community College.  The college, established in 1961, now awards associate degrees, diplomas and certificates for more than 60 programs, serving more than 23,000 credit and non-credit students each and every year.  The college is currently the seventh largest in the 58-member North Carolina Community College System and is home to the Pitt Community College Bulldogs, who are represented with athletic programming in baseball, men’s basketball, softball and women’s volleyball.

The college reached out to us in search of an effective solution for properly protecting their gym floor, typically used for both volleyball and basketball games and practices.  While there are a variety of products on the market to suit this purpose, the college opted for one of our heavy-duty vinyl gym floor covers to get the job done.

Our floor covers provide complete coverage of any dimension of flooring space and can easily be rolled out, allowing facilities such as this gymnasium to easily accommodate non-sporting events without sacrificing the integrity of their gymnasium floor.

To cover the entire surface of the gymnasium at Pitt Community College, we supplied the academic institution with seven rolls of covering measuring 10’ in width x 107’ in length.  When deployed, the cover blankets the majority of the flooring surface and provides adequate protection in high-traffic areas.

The college paired their new cover with a convenient gym floor cover storage rack, allowing staff members to safely roll up the cover, prevent it from being damaged and easily move the entire system into their storage area.
