Calming Room & Sensory Room Padding

Calming rooms, also known as de-escalation rooms, sensory rooms and quiet rooms are used simply to create an environment completely removed from outside distractions. Inside these rooms, users are able to quickly escape and use both audio and visual aids to promote extreme relaxation and/or contemplation.

These rooms are now expanding across special needs centres and establishments, retirement and old age residences, respite centres, secure units and even other educational facilities.

Sensory rooms can contain a variety of different equipment, allowing the user to stimulate their different senses, such as sound and lighting. These rooms are typically equipped with floor and wall padding, impact absorbing floor tiles and in some cases items like waterbeds, softplay equipment, interactive programming etc.

Here at Sport Systems, we are more commonly than ever being enlisted to help organizations and facility operators with the design and layout of the custom padding that goes in to each of these room designs.

Our in house design team can illustrate exactly how the sensory room padding will fit, and the function you hope it to serve as a calming room. Feel free to reach out to any member of our sales team for a quick consultation on how we can turn any room into a sensory room with our innovative padding solutions.
