Custom Wall Padding and Cut-outs for the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre

Located roughly 3,000 km from our head offices, our most recent project was for an innovative new facility located in beautiful St. John’s, NL.  The Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre is a one-of-kind multi-sport athletic training facility giving both administrators and athletes across all age categories access to the very best athletic training equipment and resources.

The three-pronged facility boasts a high-performance training centre, a state-of-the-art strength, and conditioning area, as well as a full-service gymnasium.  In addition to local residents, the facility is also utilized by a variety of provincial sports organizations as a forum to train and increase athletic performance.

As part of the construction of the facility, stakeholders within the organization reached out to our team when searching for an all-inclusive and custom-designed wall padding solution for the gymnasium.  The padding was to be designed in such a way that it would protect both participants and the walls themselves, and one that could be customized to fit the unique dimensions of the gymnasium.

With a number of custom cut-outs required, paired with the fact that the facility's team would be installing the padding themselves, there was no margin for error with regards to measurements and design.

Our in-house design and fabrication team worked closely with team members at the facility in Newfoundland, ensuring all measurements were exact and providing advanced technical drawings for review.

After the necessary measurements were confirmed, our production team got to work on the physical product which was successfully and safely shipped directly to the end user.  The staff of the Sports Centre easily and effectively installed each and every piece of padding in the gymnasium with spectacular results.
