Any time schools and other athletic facilities are looking to get a little bit more out of their gym space, they often turn to our team for one of our state-of-the-art gym divider curtain solutions. As many of us know, the demand for gymnasium time is on the rise. Sports like volleyball, basketball and pickleball are all booming while leagues and associations are constantly scrambling for additional practice and gameplay space. This was what was the driving factor behind one of our most recent projects that took place in Russel, Ontario. After we were approached by key stakeholders from St. Mother Teresa school and the board, we quickly learned about what they were after, and it didn’t take us long to recommend our ever-popular center-drive motorized curtains. These efficient curtains operate quickly and quietly, require very little maintenance and can, in most cases, fit quite nicely inside school budgets. Operating via a simple key switch, these systems give teachers and staff reliable control without complicated procedures or high ongoing costs.
One extra detail that just so happened to be present on this project was a slightly sloped overhead ceiling. Where some suppliers might otherwise find these unique shapes a challenge, our design and installation team accounted for the slope from the beginning, allowing for the curtain to track properly and hang cleanly. The finished system now gives the school the flexibility to run concurrent programs in the same space, opening more opportunities for local leagues and athletes to play the sports they love.
