At Sport Systems Canada, we’ve been proud to collaborate with our trusted dealers in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia for nearly a decade now and the team at Interior Visions continues to impress us with their dedication and expertise to every project we collaborate on.

When Truro Middle School in Nova Scotia needed to replace an aging, non-operational gym divider curtain, our partners at Interior Visions responded immediately. They recognized the importance of restoring full functionality to a space that supports active learning and athletics for hundreds of students every day and quickly brought in our team to come up with a solution.

Located in Truro, Nova Scotia, Truro Middle School serves a diverse student population on unceded Mi’kmaw territory and within a historically African Nova Scotian community. The school is deeply committed to student success both inside and outside the classroom. Its physical education and athletics programs play a vital role in promoting physical literacy, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles. Students participate in a wide range of athletic programming, including basketball, volleyball, and other team activities that make full use of the gymnasium for practices, games, and multi-purpose events. The gym is also a hub for community programs, helping foster school spirit and inclusivity for grades 6–8 students.

Like many others, this project began with a thorough site visit by the Interior Visions team. They carefully measured the gymnasium and recorded the varying heights of the open steel joists in the ceiling. A complete site take-off followed, providing the precise details needed to engineer a curtain that would fit the allotted space perfectly.

Based on those measurements, we were thrilled to quote our Centre Drive Gym Divider Curtain — a high-performance option manufactured in Canada by our partners at Forum Athletic (model F3500).

This curtain stands out in the industry for its quick and quiet operation, making it ideal for dividing busy gymnasiums into multiple activity zones without disruption. For this project, the curtain was custom-built to an impressive 24’8” high by 78’ wide — perfectly suited to the space.

Following the manufacturing process, the new curtain was shipped to Interior Visions’ location in Dieppe, New Brunswick, before making its way to Truro Middle School. Once on site, the skilled installation crew at Interior Visions executed the job with the professionalism and attention to detail we’ve come to expect from them.

The result is an extremely smooth-operating, durable divider curtain that enhances safety, flexibility, and functionality in the gymnasium all while allowing Truro Middle School to continue delivering strong athletics and physical education programming for years to come.
