Serving as something of another feather in our cap, we’re proud to announce our recent collaboration with VCL, a trusted local contractor, to supply and install high-quality padding for the state-of-the-art pickleball courts at Altea Fitness Club in Ottawa. Located conveniently on Carling Avenue in the Nation’s Capital, this 129,000-square-foot flagship facility which was previously a Canadian Tire store, has transformed into Canada’s largest premium fitness and wellness club. 

Altea Fitness Club, which opened its doors to the public last fall, is a trailblazer in the fitness industry, offering an unparalleled blend of boutique fitness, wellness, and community-focused amenities under one roof. Located in Ottawa’s vibrant Westboro community, the club boasts an impressive array of offerings including nine boutique fitness studios that offer over 350 weekly classes, state-of-the-art equipment, luxurious change rooms complete with steam rooms and saunas, a full-scale Kids Club, social and co-working spaces and a new 25-meter lap pool.

When VCL reached out to us for a local partner to enhance Altea’s pickleball courts, we jumped at the opportunity. Our team supplied and expertly installed premium wall padding, ensuring a safe and high-performance playing surface that meets the demands of Altea’s booming pickleball community.

The six-court indoor pickleball club at Altea is already a massive hit, booked solid from 5 AM to 11 PM daily. This overwhelming demand has already prompted Altea to plan a second, even larger pickleball gym at the same location, featuring an additional six courts - a project we will be once again involved in with this state-of-the-art facility.

The pickleball boom at Altea Fitness Club is just the beginning. With its expansive offerings, luxurious amenities, and commitment to community, Altea is setting a new standard for fitness and wellness in Canada.
