With over 40 years in the business, one of the greatest aspects of the job is getting to work in amazing places all over the world. We’ve installed our products in Africa, the Middle East, throughout the Caribbean and across North America.

This past spring, we had the pleasure of working in a new and exciting location as we were invited to the Mount Rushmore State. Working closely with our trusted partners at Crouch Recreation, we were brought on board to help design a project for the City of Aberdeen, South Dakota.

Despite being a small, friendly town, the City of Aberdeen ranks as the third most populous city in South Dakota with approximately 30,000 residents. While South Dakota might not be known for bustling cities and skyscrapers, its natural beauty and friendly people provide plenty of charm.

We were excited to experience it firsthand as we began the process of designing a new bleacher seating system for the Aberdeen Softball Complex located in the centre of town. Given that these bleachers were going to be used by the community, the city was looking for a seating structure that would satisfy all IBC safety guidelines. With safety always top of mind in everything we manufacture, key stakeholders were pleasantly surprised to learn about our upgrade from rear and side guardrail to vertical picket systems. A standard for our Platinum Series bleachers, these systems come complete with aisles with handrails which suited not only the project, but the safety specifications perfectly.

Fortunately, there were already concrete slabs in place allowing us to get right to the installation process. Following all the necessary design and approval stages, our team manufactured the bleacher structure and shipped it directly to beautiful South Dakota.

It was here where our partners at Crouch Recreation picked up the baton and ran with it as they always do. Working through some inclement weather, the team was able to get these bleachers erected on time and on budget.

Today the community of Aberdeen has a safe seating structure to cheer on local baseball teams for many years to come.
