Serving as home to the formidable panthers, Pontiac High School is located in Shawville, Quebec, not far from the banks of the beautiful Ottawa River. The region, also referred to as ‘the Pontiac’, is a municipality in the Outaouais Region of Western Quebec. It runs alongside the north shores of the Ottawa River and is a vital part of Canada’s Capital Region.

As part of some recent upgrades to the local high school, key stakeholders reached out to our team to discuss some options for adding bleacher seating to the school’s gymnasium. Known far and wide as Canada’s bleacher experts, we were happy to field the call and work with the school on this exciting new project.

Given that the gym was a staple of student life at the growing school, and the fact that there were no bleachers in place for students to cheer one another on, the school approached us for solutions. Pointing immediately to our telescopic bleacher options, we were quick to provide the school with a couple of options and budgetary numbers that they could review as part of the process. In looking at two separate banks of bleachers for the space, our team was able to acquire measurements by a staff member at the school.

Speeding up the process, we gave the school a budgetary quote for the proposed seating, which acted as a springboard for the local community to kick off a number of fundraising activities to help fund the exciting new project.

A few months passed and the school again reached out to our team to report that they had successfully raised the required funds and were ready to get on with the project. We partnered up with our friends at Lexco Construction, who are based in Gatineau, Quebec, to aid in the installation of the final product. With extensive knowledge in the western Quebec community, they were an easy choice and managed the project from an installation standpoint flawlessly. 

The bleachers were efficiently installed and now allow for the seating of 148 spectators in the gymnasium of this budding school and athletics program.
