As part of some recent upgrades to one of Ottawa’s premier golf courses, the Marshes Golf Club, located in Kanata’s high-tech hub, is opening some new facilities next month and turned to our team for help in getting everything set up.

While the facility is best known for its buttery-smooth greens and picturesque fairways, the club has become a hub for action for locals and tourists alike. In addition to the Championship 18-hole course and 9-hole short course, the property is adjoined by the prestigious Brookstreet Hotel, attracting visitors from across the country and around the world.

As part of some expansion plans, the club is expanding its facilities to include eight new pickleball courts which are set to open in May 2025. Looking to bolster membership options, the club is hopeful that the addition of these new courts will align with the growing popularity of the sport in North America, as evidenced by nearby Amberwood Village’s 10-court facility, which is already waitlisted for 2025 memberships.

As part of these upgrades, our team was brought in by our partners at Strathmar Landscape Construction who were contracted by the golf course to help design the new courts. Out of the six new courts ordered by the golf course, two of the courts were designed to be utilized for both tennis and pickleball. As with any installation, working with trusted partners is the key to success and together, we worked diligently to ensure that all posts were installed inline with one another and the lines of each court.

In the end, we supplied some beautiful new posts and nets for a facility that has done so much to strengthen our community here in the Greater Ottawa area. With the success of both pickleball and golf, it’s any wonder that visitors and locals will continue to frequent this premiere destination right here in our Nation’s Capital.
