In almost all realms of life, it is always better to plan ahead to ensure you can accommodate the potential outcome and support your expectations. Most would agree that it is better to be overprepared than underprepared, more important to overestimate your needs rather than to underestimate them. Taking active measures to ensure that they are always able to accommodate their guests, St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School invited Sport Systems to return to their school and install additions to their outdoor bleachers.
When it comes to providing safe, durable, and comfortable seating, Sport Systems is the popular choice among educational institutions throughout Canada and the United States. This past winter, Sport Systems made a trip to St. Joseph-Scollard Hall CSS to installtwo sets of 5-Row Motorized Telescopic Bleachers in their gymnasium. And back in the spring of 2015, our team provided the school’s outdoor facilities with two sets of 10-Tier Outdoor Bleachers and one bank of 3-Tier Outdoor Bleachers. While comfortably accommodating around 500 spectators, St. Joseph-Scollard Hall CSS determined that it was time to increase the field’s seating capacity to accommodate the increased rates of game attendance. To help them achieve this goal, our team accepted the invitation of the school, and traveled Northwest from our headquarters in Almonte to the school’s location in North Bay, Ontario.
Upon arrival, our team inspected the present condition of the bleachers. After seven years, the seating was still in great condition. While our bleachers are “modular” in design and are meant to easily accommodate such changes, any damage to the bleachers would need to be addressed before any additions could be made. Receiving the green light to proceed with the add-ons, our team began the process of extending the length of each tier on the bleachers.
The outcome of this project was successful in multiple ways. First, by choosing to add on to the preexisting bleachers, we were able to save the school more money than if we were to build completely new structures. Secondly, our team was able to continue building a relationship with St. Joseph-Scollard Hall CSS. Thirdly, and most importantly, the increased capacity of these bleachers enables the school to be more prepared for an increased number of spectators. Knowing that there is a seat saved for them at every game, it is our hope that the community continues to show up and support the teams at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall CSS.
