On September 20, 2017 at Yankee Stadium, a toddler was struck in the face by a 105-mph baseball off the bat of Yankee Todd Frazier. In the hours immediately following the harrowing incident, Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred made a promise to spectators to make taking in a game a safer experience.

While some argued that sudden implementation of these safety regulations would impede the fan experience, for most, the changes made perfect sense.

Known as America’s pastime, baseball attracts thousands of fans across the United States to stadiums each and every year. The unfortunate reality is that nearly 2,000 spectators are hit by bats and balls while watching games each and every year. While not every instance involved injury, many had begun to question whether or not a slightly obstructed view was worth running the risk of injury to both adults and children.

Thinking outside of the box, like only our esteemed partners would, the team at 53 Colours approached us as they were preparing to open their second location. After providing us with years and years of excellent service and a stellar product, we were honored to have come to mind and jumped at the opportunity to help another local business in their growth.

Specializing in custom signage, print, vehicle graphics and more, 53 Colours has been serving the Ottawa market and beyond from their flagship location in Carleton Place. Looking to expand their business, they acquired another location in nearby Smith’s Falls, giving them an even deeper market penetration and allowing them to meet more potential customers face-to-face.

Leading us across the expanse of the United States, one of our latest projects once again landed us in sunny California.

After completing work with Columbia College in Sonora, we were also contacted by an individual who had come across our products while searching online.  Browsing across multiple sites and suppliers, we were eventually directly contacted by the client who mentioned they were impressed with the quality of our products. While admitting that we were not necessarily the cheapest product on the market, we did, in their opinion, seem to have the highest-quality products.

Built in 1967 and currently serving approximately 750 students, Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School in Hamilton, Ontario offers a variety of enriching programming. By offering students a safe, structured and nurturing environment, the school’s student body is able to truly develop to their full potential.

A member of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, the board serves over 49,000 students across over 100 schools in southern Ontario. Tracing its roots back into the mid-1970s, ÉTS is a practical institution accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board and is located in Montreal’s Griffintown neighbourhood.

Residing on the forefront of technology and innovation, the school reached out to our team in Montreal to discuss some unique needs for a program that involved rigorous testing of drones. With technology continuing to change the landscape and industry of these small, piloted aircraft, students at ÉTS were in need of an area indoors in which they could perform test flights and operations.

Located in the upper West Ward of Newark, Ivy Hill serves over 570 students across grades PreK3 to grade eight. Occupying the former location of Vailsburg Middle School, Ivy Hill is celebrating 10 years of operation after opening their doors in the fall of 2007. As a result of school reorganization efforts in Newark, which saw a shift away from the middle school model, the school today is fully integrated and aims to prepare students for high school and beyond within the boundaries of their historic location.
