Sure, badminton may not be the most popular sport, but lots of people sure do like it, and they deserve the best! **Types of Outdoor Badminton Courts** You'll get the full range of badminton courts when you choose to put one outside. We're not talking about dirt and gravel here, folks; we're talking the state-of-the-art, top-of-the-line, and other heavily-hyphenated phrases.  Let's take a look at some of the outdoor badminton courts that really get your game off to a whole new level:  **Softout:** This is a court that consists of rubber carpeting and acrile coats. What this means is you get a much more elastic surface, one that makes running after those out of control shuttlecocks all the easier, especially when you do a landing dive to make that killer shot. You won't have any maintenance concerns with this outdoor badminton court, and it can withstand temperature fluctuations each year.  **Surface Evolution:** Another option for your outdoor badminton court is surface evolution, which is a double layer of rubber padding that makes movement easier. When the game is tied at 19 and coming down to the wire, that firm footing comes in mighty handy. The elastic and synthetic resin coating will give you a good weather seal, and the courts even come in a wide-array of colors.  **Grass or Turf:** Synthetic grass or Astroturf is a great idea for your outdoor badminton court. While everyone would love to play on natural grass, the maintenance costs are often too high. Turf or synthetic grass courts provide all the safety and mobility of the rubber-padded courts, but they look a whole lot better and athletes just like it more. It'd make a great addition to your outdoor recreation area, and one that players would love to dirty up their clothes on.  Badminton is a great game, and one that's increasingly becoming popular in the West.
