Located nearly 1,100KM north of Montreal, the community is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the area’s outdoors and diverse wildlife. Nemaska, which means “Place to Fish” is well known as a premiere fresh water fishing locale and promotes sustainable methods of tourism in the area with help of the local residents. Born and raised with a strong connection to the outdoors, residents are well versed in hunting, fishing, trapping and other outdoor pursuits and continue to cherish and pass down this heritage to the next generation. Serving as home to such a diverse selection of outdoor activities, the community is known for camping and canoe tours during the summer, ice fishing, dogsledding and snowmobiling in the winter and various other events and activities throughout the year. While residents certainly get their fair share of fresh air and outdoor exercise, the community is also home to a large recreation and sports complex. Providing residents with an opportunity to participate in organized indoor sports and bringing the community even closer together are just a couple of the benefits of this inclusive facility. As part of some recent upgrades at the complex, our team was contacted to provide [safety padding](https://www.sportsystemscanada.com/collections/custom-wall-padding) for the walls of the gymnasium. Given the complexity of the proposed space, we recommended that one of our experienced installers take a flight to the community to ensure the measurements were accurate before the design process began. With measurements and dimensions in hand, our design team quickly got to work on the padding that would soon cover the walls of the gymnasium and make it a safer space for all to enjoy. The pads were soon manufactured at our plant and promptly and safely packed for the long journey north.
