Having completed a number of projects in the beautiful state of Nebraska, we returned for another job, this time in the state’s Capital city of Lincoln. Originally named Landcaster, the city was renamed in 1869 after the great President Abraham Lincoln. In that same year, the University of Nebraska was established in Lincoln and today remains the largest university in the state, serving nearly 30,000 students.
Our partners at Crouch Recreation in Omaha, brought us yet another opportunity in the Cornhusker State, this time at an established Christian school in neighbouring Lincoln. With a history dating back to the 1950s, Lincoln Christian School has been serving local families and the community with faith-based education for decades, currently boasting nearly 900 students and over 80 faculty members.
The school was in search of a padding solution for both the gymnasium and the wrestling room, two vital areas of the school for student athletes. Serving as home to the Crusaders, Lincoln Christian supports teams in a variety of sports such as football, golf, tennis, basketball, cheerleading, and baseball among many others.
With a busy gymnasium, the school was looking to install fresh new padding beneath each of the basketball units to keep student athletes safe during practice and game play. For the wrestling room, the school was after a more complete solution. Inside the room, the prescribed padding was to run the entire length of one of the walls.
To top it all off, the school was eager to show off their new brand and school logo and requested that all of the padding incorporate the new school logo. With our digital logo-printing department in full operation, this was an easy addition to the project and one we were happy to accommodate.
The team at Crouch Recreation brought in their partners at Brester Construction to head into the school and obtain detailed measurements and other site details to aid in the precise and accurate production of the padding. Once measurements were received on our end, our design and manufacturing teams kicked into gear to produce the padding on-time and on-budget.
The padding was shipped directly to Lincoln and was met by the professionals at Brester for the final installation in the gymnasium and wrestling facility. Today, the school’s new logo is proudly displayed on all of the custom padding along with a renewed feeling of school spirit for students and alumni.
