Operating as an independent school in the province of Quebec, St. Georges School of Montreal’s history dates back to 1930 when the institution first opened its doors. Since then, the school has grown to two campuses, including their elementary school in Westmount and their main high school campus in Montreal.
As with any school as established as St. Georges, the age of certain pieces of equipment inside gymnasiums can become a safety concern. One such area of concern for the majority of established schools is often with existing telescopic or retractable seating systems, as was the case with St. Georges.
With outdated wooden bleachers on-site, the school was looking for an update as the systems were becoming cumbersome to operate and could possibly pose a risk to spectator and student safety. Key stakeholders from the school came across our state-of-the-art telescopic bleacher systems and immediately picked up the phone to chat.
After a brief discussion, we mentioned that we had yet to install one of our Kodiak 2400 bleachers into a school in Quebec, but with a new established relationship in the province, we were now able to service these types of projects. Having a great working relationship with the good people over at Distribution Sports Loisirs (DSL), the school was comfortable with our partnership as well and quickly greenlit the project.
After getting all the information we needed from inside the gymnasium, DSL provided our design team with everything they needed to provide a quote for the school. After a quick review of the details, the project was on to the manufacturing process and quickly shipped out to Montreal shortly thereafter.
There it was met by the team at DSL who did everything they needed to do to get this new bleacher system seamlessly installed. The school is absolutely in love with their new motorized bleacher system and we’d like to express our appreciation to both St. Georges of Montreal and to the team over at DSL for a project well done by their top notch installation techs.
