Since the earliest days of Christianity, the Catholic church has made impressive efforts towards establishing itself and expanding its influence around the world. From orphanages and schools to soup kitchens and hospitals, the Catholic church continues to serve communities across North America and beyond. One of the communities that has benefited from the Catholic church’s contributions is located in Mississauga, Ontario. As part of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, the St. Francis Xavier Secondary School has provided quality education, moral guidance, and a source of belonging for over 30 years.
Named after, one of the first Jesuit missionaries, St. Francis Xavier Secondary School has been providing quality education, moral guidance, and a source of belonging for over 30 years. The school serves a large student population as one of the city’s largest Catholic schools and provides an extensive curriculum for students of all backgrounds, interests and learning levels. While offering traditional courses and advanced learning opportunities, St. Francis Xavier also offers several opportunities for extracurricular activities. Of the many options available, sports continue to be one of the most popular choices among students.
While St. Francis Xavier is a relatively new school, the number of students it has served over the years is comparable to a much older institution. With countless classes, clubs and events held in the school’s gymnasium, it didn’t take long for the need to arise for an upgraded seating solution. After winning the bid for the job, our team made its way over to the school to meet with its leaders.
During our conversation with the school’s leadership team, it was determined that our Kodiak 2400 Series Motorized Telescopic Bleachers would be the perfect fit for the needs of the facility. Offering flexibility to the space, our bleachers are easily retracted when not in use. Replacing the manually operated bleachers that were previously occupying the space, the new seating will now allow the school’s caretakers and facility team to be able to transform the room more efficiently than ever before.
Accessorizing their order, the school also chose to customize their new bleachers with our GameDay GrafX services. Digitally adhered to the surface of the bleachers, the school’s acronym was selected to provide an additional source of school spirit. With a sizable portfolio of similar jobs, our customized bleacher graphics have been proven to withstand the test of time.
While our team works with a variety of clients, academic institutions remain one of our favourite organizations to work with. Admiring their dedication to the city of Mississauga, it is our hope that our small contribution to St. Francis Xavier Secondary School will help support their mission and values for years to come.
