The midwestern region of the United States is often associated with open land, hearty meals, unique accents, and friendly, hard-working people. When it comes to education, however, the school systems in these states have historically been regarded as mediocre. Disproving this assumption, however, are the schools found in Valley, Nebraska.

Purchasing a tennis net can become quite the ordeal. We may not recognize the significance of this type of equipment while on the court and purchasing one may seem a simple task. But buying the right net can reveal just how much of a difference there is between products.

Today, society is becoming increasingly aware of the need to preserve resources. From
composting and recycling to refurbished furniture and repurposed fashion, conservation serves two purposes: this intentional act not only mitigates the depletion of resources, but also increases the value of that which already exists. Translating this concept from material objects to societal institutions, one may note the many benefits of merging neighbouring schools. The merging of Madoc Public School and Centre Hastings Secondary School in particular, has proven to be an excellent example of combining resources in order to preserve them.

The headband on a tennis net is the small cover that runs along the top edge. Overtime, headbands need to be replaced, and the most common materials used are vinyl or polyester.

At minimum, a headband should have at least two layers of material secured together by four layers of double stitching. Yet, beyond those requirements, how do you decide between headband materials? Let’s dive in to explore how the material of a tennis net headband impacts play.

It is commonly believed that if everyone viewed the world through the eyes of children, society would be a much better place. Despite being at more preliminary stages of development, children see no value-based distinction amongst varying ethnicities, genders, or socioeconomic backgrounds. Implementing this child-like acceptance and celebrating the differences of each individual, the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa (BGC) has created a safe space for children and teens aged 6-18.

While books will always be an important educational resource, museums present an opportunity to reflect on history and nature in an interactive way. One might conclude that the true value of information is often unrecognized until it is put into practice. As a hands-on company, Sport Systems strives to take information and turn it into tangible products that serve a purpose. Putting our drive into practice, our team eagerly accepted Science North’s invitation to build customized seating solutions in one of their newest exhibits.

For many people, a reference to the “saints” may conjure up a very specific image. For example, some might associate the title with religious beliefs or medieval artwork. Others, however, may connect the word to a pop culture or sports reference -- such as the film Rudy or the New Orleans Saints. For the people of Thunder Bay, Ontario, however, the term serves as a reminder of St. Patrick High School.

Loyalty and commitment are two highly regarded values, expressed through service, contribution and fidelity to our families, communities and institutions. Established in 1798 by United Empire Loyalists, the town of Cobourg, Ontario continues to deepen its sense of commitment towards its own community. Mirroring the spirit of the town, Cobourg Collegiate Institute has also embraced the value of loyalty as one of the school’s guiding principles.

Located in what is known as the Downriver collection of communities in the greater Metro Detroit areas, Lincoln Park, Michigan was the site one of our recent projects. Working closely with the team at C&M Associates, this project took place at the Lincoln Park Community Center – a hub for local activity.
