Working with the city of London in southern Ontario, this project consisted of a much-needed upgrade to the seating in one of the city’s most popular community centres. A hub for athletic activity and community gatherings, the North London Optimist Community Centre also supports other community initiatives by offering residents spacious meeting rooms and spaces complete with kitchenettes. The unique facility allows members of London’s community to rent these spaces for functions such as bridal and baby showers, registration events, corporate meetings and birthday parties.

The facility is, however, better known for their extensive sports and recreation activities. Home to a large gymnasium, three indoor tennis courts, two indoor squash courts and the city’s only roller skating program, there is no shortage of sporting-inspired programming at the location.

Based on fostering community understanding and cohesiveness, the South Nepean Muslim Community (SNMC) is a non-profit organization based in Canada’s capital city. Offering Ottawa residents an opportunity to congregate, educate and enhance their lifestyles, the SNMC offers their services and location to members of any faith, culture or ethnic background.

With services such as marriage and family counselling, prayers, funeral services and even a match-making program, the organization has been a pillar in the community since its inception.

While the early history of the organization included a number of different locations, in 2015, the SNMC settled in to their current home, complete with a mosque, allowing them to continue to strengthen their community.

The 1,500 square- metre facility is home to a three-level prayer room, library, fitness area and funeral facility. In addition, the facility also houses two large halls that are transformed into basketball courts for athletic programming.

On September 20, 2017 at Yankee Stadium, a toddler was struck in the face by a 105-mph baseball off the bat of Yankee Todd Frazier. In the hours immediately following the harrowing incident, Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred made a promise to spectators to make taking in a game a safer experience.

While some argued that sudden implementation of these safety regulations would impede the fan experience, for most, the changes made perfect sense.

Known as America’s pastime, baseball attracts thousands of fans across the United States to stadiums each and every year. The unfortunate reality is that nearly 2,000 spectators are hit by bats and balls while watching games each and every year. While not every instance involved injury, many had begun to question whether or not a slightly obstructed view was worth running the risk of injury to both adults and children.

Leading us across the expanse of the United States, one of our latest projects once again landed us in sunny California.

After completing work with Columbia College in Sonora, we were also contacted by an individual who had come across our products while searching online.  Browsing across multiple sites and suppliers, we were eventually directly contacted by the client who mentioned they were impressed with the quality of our products. While admitting that we were not necessarily the cheapest product on the market, we did, in their opinion, seem to have the highest-quality products.
