You’ve done your research, shopped around for the best pricing, and selected the right tennis posts and nets for your newly built tennis court or existing court. As you move closer to the day when you will be able to welcome new participants to your courts, the planning process begins with how to install these pieces of equipment.

While we do offer our installation services on nearly everything we sell or service, many of our products can be installed by the end user, including our new line of tennis nets. 

Officially sized and made with 1-3/4” square mesh braided solid core polyethylene, our tennis nets lead the industry and are relatively easy to install on your court.

If you already have your tennis posts on site, you won’t need much else to get started on the installation process.

Founded in the late 1800’s by Oxford University graduate George Penrose Woollcombe, Ashbury College in Ottawa’s premiere neighbourhood of Rockliffe Park was the site of one of our more recent projects.

The historic boarding school in Canada’s National Capital is now home to 170 students in its Junior School and 515 students in the Senior School, where it continues to shape young minds through academic, artistic and athletic development.

Located about an hour away from our headquarters, the school approached our team to supply and install four gym divider curtains for two of the three gymnasiums located on the 12-acre campus. 

As part of our custom netting department, we are proud to introduce windscreens as one of our newest product lines. Used to block the wind, sunshine, noise and/or debris, these finely netted screens can be found on baseball diamonds, tennis courts, municipal parks, recreation areas, golf courses, industrial sites and ski resorts.

While these screens can be extremely versatile for any location or facility, there is a bit of homework that needs to be done before selecting the right solution.

Available in a number of different configurations, buyers will first need to identify the right windscreen product to address their unique needs. Our windscreens are available in a number of different fabrics, lengths and configurations. Below we will break down our main products, giving you additional insight into the buying process before purchasing a screen.

Located in the world-renowned Niagara Escarpment, made famous by the towering waterfalls that have made the region so popular in both Canada and the United States, is Bishop Tonnos Catholic Secondary School.

Just north of the falls, the school is located in Ancaster, Ontario, a former municipality of Hamilton, which was one of the oldest European communities established in present-day Ontario.

Founded in 2004, Bishop Tonnos provides an excellent broad-based, balanced education to help young people grow to their fullest potential, with a deep-rooted focus on the Catholic Faith. While there is certainly a great deal of focus on academics, the school is also home to the Titans, who represent the school athletically in the community.

Whether it be in your educational, community, professional or athletic facility, the need to more efficiently utilize space will continue to be integral for growing spaces. As more programs continue to expand and seek to accommodate more participants, the need for space-saving products has become vital for many facilities.

Having nearly 40 years worth of experience in the market, we have seen first-hand how this need has not only grown, but also how companies such as ours have continued to innovate and push the envelope to deliver the products our clients need.

As our line of gym divider curtains, retractable bleachers and portable basketball systems continues to expand, we have added another unique product to our award-winning line-up. While retractable bleacher systems remain as the leading source of versatile seating solutions, the fact remains that in some cases, these seating systems can be too large for certain spaces and facilities.

In the name of safety, our team was once again involved in a vital project aimed at reducing the risk of injuries to both spectators and players. The project was brought to our attention last year as we were contacted by officials with the City of Brampton, a suburban neighbourhood located in the Greater Toronto Area.

As a sports-focused community, the City of Brampton has produced several professional-level athletes such as NHL stars Rick Nash and phenom Tyler Seguin, among many others spanning across a variety of sports.

Sport Systems Ranks No. 319 on the 2017 PROFIT 500 

–Canadian Business unveils 29th annual list of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies – 

Ottawa, ON (September 14, 2017) Canadian Business and PROFIT today ranked Sport Systems No. 319 on the 29th annual PROFIT 500, the definitive ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies. Published in the October issue of Maclean’s magazine and at CanadianBusiness.com, the PROFIT 500 ranks Canadian businesses by their five-year revenue growth. 

Sport Systems made the 2017 PROFIT 500 list with five-year revenue growth of 178%. 

One of our more recent projects landed us in Ville-Marie, or more commonly known as Old Montreal. The hustling, bustling and culturally diverse city is the most populous in the province of Quebec and was once the commercial capital of Canada until the city of Toronto took its place in the 1970s.

This project took us to the southeastern portion of the city, where we joined forces with our partners at Constructions et Installations Sportifs for this installation. The site was Edward Murphy School, a member of the English Montreal School Board featuring both an English core program as well as French immersion programming for its student body.

While keeping score with a pad of paper on a foldable table certainly can get the job done, many facilities are now opting to upgrade their score-keeping abilities through the use of innovative digital scorers tables.

Much the same as those used in large-scale sporting events such as boxing, UFC, professional basketball and the like, elementary schools, secondary schools, colleges, and universities are all turning digital in this ever-changing technological landscape we live in today.

As such, we have recently released a new product line featuring the very best in digital scoring tables, offering our growing customer base yet another innovative product to enhance their facilities. These tables allow for scorekeepers, staff members, and commentators to sit comfortably on the sidelines to keep score, record statistics and make announcements throughout any sporting event.

Looking west to the beautiful state of California, one of our most recent projects took place to the campus of Columbia College located in the heart of the state’s “Gold Country.”

Named after the miners from Sonora, Mexico who originally settled the city, Sonora maintains its historic charm while modernizing itself with museums, art galleries and a number of theatres. Located a mere 75 miles from Yosemite National Park, Sonora is also an outdoor recreationist’s dream. With access to hundreds of resorts, campground, lakes and National Parks, Sonora provides residents and visitors alike with ample opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors.

Heading indoors, we were contacted by the instructional support technician at Sonora’s Columbia College who was looking for a padding solution to cover the entire gymnasium at the growing college. Kicking off a project that would end up being one year in the making, our team worked closely with key stakeholders at the college to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
